Dashboard
Octopunk's dashboard provides a customizable view of the GitHub activity you are most interested in.
Widgets
The dashboard is composed of search, activity graph, and feed widgets.
Search widgets take filter strings and maintain an up-to-date view of activity tailored to your needs.
The activity graph summarizes your activity over a customizable time range.
Finally, the feed widget shows a stream of content interesting to you. This typically tracks activity surrounding starred, owned, and watched GitHub resources.
Card deck
The left-hand drawer on the dashboard is called the card deck and is composed of several cards.
Several cards exist and are shown by default, their order and whether they are visible can be changed by clicking the settings gear on the top card.
Inbox
The inbox card lists notifications.
Octopunk ships with a custom notification system described in full in the notifications.
Recently viewed
The recently viewed card tracks your most recently visited resources.
This list can be filtered by the filter icon in the card's header.
Activity feed
This card shows the latest GitHub events relevant for the user.
It can be used to keep abreast of recent activity on resources you have expressed interest in.
The activity feed can be filtered using the filter button in the header.
Additionally, you can subscribe to particular events using the subscribe button in the header. When you subscribe to particular events desktop notifications will be fired when they occur.
Dashboard outline
The dashboard outline inventories all widgets on your dashboard.
Clicking on an outline entry scrolls to and focuses the selected widget.
